Sound Cues are visual anchors for speech sounds. Each cue image represents a speech sound so learners can see and hear sounds inside words.
What This App Does
Type a word to get cue images, hear each sound, hear the full word, record your own voice, compare model vs recording, edit cue sequences, build custom words, and print cue strips.
How To Use
- Enter a word and tap Show Cues.
- Tap each speaker to hear each sound.
- Tap Say Word to hear the full word.
- Tap Record, then Play My Recording.
- Tap Compare to alternate model and your recording.
- Tap Edit Word to remove/add/reorder sounds.
- Tap Create Word to build a brand new custom word.
- Tap Print Cue Strip to print a cue strip.
Stress Display
Dark blue line = primary stress. Light blue line = secondary stress. For multiple valid stress patterns, choose Option 1, Option 2, etc.
Favorites And Recent
Use the star button to add/remove favorites. Tap Favorites to view your full list. Recent words are added automatically.
Speed
Adjust playback speed of Say Word, Play My Recording and Compare from 25 to 100%.
