It is common for young children to have difficulty with the G sound. G typically develops between 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 years of age for girls and up to 4 for boys.

I often work with children on the G sound starting at 4 years of age or sooner if the trouble is causing them to be harder to understand and especially if it is causing them frustration.

Working on G sounds is often fairly easy and straightforward and if the right steps are followed it is something that can be done at home in just a few minutes each day. This guide will help parents decide if they need to work on G sounds by completing a simple assessment and provides step by step directions for working on G.

Included in this program:
– Assessment Guide
– Indirect Therapy Ideas
– How to Establish G
– Direct Therapy Ideas
– Game Ideas
– 120 printable Picture Cards for working on G in all of the different positions in words.
– And More

While all of the ideas and materials are based on my 26 years of experience working with children and families as a Speech-Language Pathologist, they just a guide. They cannot replace therapy with or an assessment by a Speech-Language Pathologist or any other professional.

Better Speech, Language and Social Communication is truly the best gift any parent can give their child.
