It is fairly common for young children to have some difficulty with the V sound. V typically develops for both boys and girls between 4 and 5 1/2 years of age.

I often work with children on the V sound starting at 5 1/2 or sooner if the trouble is causing them to be harder to understand and especially if it is causing them frustration.

Working on V sounds is often easy and straightforward and if the right steps are followed it is something that can be done at home in just a few minutes each day. This guide will help parents decide if they need to work on V sounds and provides a complete step by step therapy program.

Included in this booklet:
– V Assessment
– Indirect Therapy Ideas
– How to Establish the V Sound
– Direct Therapy Ideas
– Game Ideas
– 72 Printable Picture Cards for working on V in all word positions

While all of the ideas and materials are based on my 26 years of experience working with children and families as a Speech-Language Pathologist, they just a guide. They cannot replace therapy with or an assessment by a Speech-Language Pathologist or any other professional.

Better Speech, Language and Social Communication is truly the best gift any parent can give their child.
