Sound Cue Builder helps users practice speech sounds and words.
1) Data we access and process
– Microphone audio: If you use recording features, the app records audio on your device for “Play My Recording” and “Compare.”
– Typed word text: When you use “Say Word” with online voice, the typed word and pronunciation option details are sent to our text-to-speech service over HTTPS.
– Network status: The app checks internet availability to choose online voice or device voice fallback.
2) What we do NOT collect
– We do not require account sign-in.
– We do not upload microphone recordings.
– We do not sell personal data.
3) How data is used
– To provide core app features (speech playback, recording, compare, and reliability of voice playback).
– To support online text-to-speech when available.
4) Data sharing
– Typed word text used for online voice is processed by our speech service provider solely to generate speech audio.
– We do not share microphone recordings with third parties.
5) Data retention and deletion
– Recording files are stored locally in app storage/cache on your device.
– You can remove local app data by clearing app storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
– If we later add server-side logs or analytics, this policy will be updated.
6) Security
– Data sent for online voice is transmitted using HTTPS.
– We use reasonable safeguards for data handling.
7) Children’s privacy
– If children use the app, parent/caregiver/clinician supervision is recommended.
– If your Play listing targets children, ensure your app content and policy remain compliant with Google Play Families requirements.
8) Changes to this policy
– We may update this policy and will post the updated version at this URL with a new effective date.
